ABOUT US

Wangoh One Laptop Per Child Project is a non-profit founded on May 14, 2013 with the initiative of establishing the goal of transforming education for children of Sierra Leone in providing low-income computers; this goal was to be achieved by creating and distributing educational devices for the Sierra Leone education system.

 The project is going to be saturated in Sierra Leone community in a bid for the Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology feel responsible for the success of the project. Connection, through the computer network, students in the neighborhood should be permanently connected to each other’s computers. Free and Open Source, the software, content, resources and tools should be able to expand to their parents also. What I need at this initial stage, is for the different academic institutions, non-governmental organizations, governments around the world, companies and international financial institutions to support my vision  to be informed that I’m writing a proposed project (Wangoh One Laptop per Child Project (Bridging the Digital Gap and Gender Balancing ), in a bid to provide one hundred thousands of free low-cost laptops to primary and secondary school students in Sierra Leone.
